Making musl and proprietary NVIDIA drivers work together
An author experimented with making proprietary NVIDIA graphics drivers function on musl-based Linux distributions, overcoming hurdles related to GLVND, the gcompat shim, unsupported relocation type 37 for indirect functions, static thread-local storage flags, and static mutex initializers. By patching dynamic linkers, libc components, and utilizing patchelf for binary modification, the effort successfully enabled the proprietary 580 and 620 driver branches to work on musl distributions like Chimera Linux.
