Waymo to end Uber exclusive app deal in Austin, Atlanta

Waymo has informed Uber that it plans to launch its ride-hailing service independently through its own app in Austin and Atlanta in January 2028. Currently, riders in those cities using Uber to request Waymo vehicles face inconsistent availability and distribution limitations.
