Discovered Materials launches $1M materials science AI challenge

Discovered Materials, a Y Combinator-backed startup, has announced a one-million-dollar challenge featuring five unsolved problems in materials science for AI models to solve. The company hopes the challenge will serve as goalposts to track how AI models perform in the domain and deepen scientific understanding of advanced materials.
