Apollo Is Vastly Outspending the Neoclouds on AI Chips

Private equity firm Apollo Global Management is significantly outspending neoclouds on AI chips through major hardware leasing deals. The firm recently arranged a deal to lease $40 billion worth of Nvidia chips to SpaceX and previously orchestrated a $35 billion fundraising effort to buy Google tensor processing units for Anthropic.
