Researchers release CRAFT Hand open-source
Researchers introduce CRAFT Hand, a tendon-driven anthropomorphic robotic hand featuring hybrid hard-soft compliance designed for contact-rich manipulation. The design places soft material at joints while keeping links rigid and using rolling-contact joint surfaces, allowing the hand to improve strength, endurance, and handling of fragile items during teleoperation. The complete design costs under $600 and will be released open-source with simulation and vision-based teleoperation integration. Open article →
