Researchers report the end-to-end local deployment and measurement of MiniMax H3, a 20.38-billion-parameter video diffusion transformer running entirely on an Apple Mac mini with an M5 Pro chip and 64 GiB of unified memory. Using an 8-bit quantization path, the authors built a working text-to-video pipeline without cloud dependency, documenting build times, peak memory usage, and render latencies across four resolution tiers. An unattended production test completed 17 clips in 26.49 hours with zero failures, receiving moderate average scores in a blind human review. Open article →
