Playing with the STM32MP2
An engineer details the process of bringing up STMicroelectronics' STM32MP2 applications processor in a bare-metal, micro-controller-like environment using upstream tools and avoiding external DDR memory or Linux. The project successfully configured the Cortex-M33 and Cortex-A35 cores and brought up a PCIe link to an FPGA. During PCIe debugging, the author discovered a silicon errata in the RISAF address protection unit that caused a TrustZone bypass vulnerability. Open article →
