Nagare Labs develops Z2RAM capacitorless AI memory

Georgia Tech spinout Nagare Labs is developing Z2RAM, a capacitorless memory technology designed to deliver SRAM-speed performance at DRAM density directly on top of AI chips. Backed by Pat Gelsinger and Playground Global, the startup aims to use standard 300mm DUV tools to layer memory directly onto compute dies, though current prototypes are still in the lab stage with production shipments targeted within the decade.
