Baidu has unveiled Apollo World, a world model designed to simulate interactive road environments for training and testing autonomous vehicles. The system generates real-time camera and lidar data while virtual actors respond to autonomous actions, allowing developers to test complex scenarios and reduce the cost of market adaptation. Baidu states that the model is already supporting Apollo Go's global robotaxi development and can generate up to 100,000 kilometers of simulated driving daily. Open article →
