OpenAI hires Lightmatter ASIC lead Clifford Chao

Lightmatter's lead ASIC engineer, Clifford Chao, has joined OpenAI as its silicon lead to support the company's in-house hardware ambitions. Chao brings extensive experience from his time at Lightmatter and Google, where he worked on TPUs and related hardware systems alongside OpenAI VP of hardware Richard Ho.
