Most organizations now have AI agents running in production - handling support tickets, pulling financial reports, accessing enterprise systems. Most of them were stood up without IT's involvement. Most have no owner. Most have no off switch.

New research from JumpCloud surveyed 800 IT leaders on how they're governing their agentic workforce. The finding that stands out: organizations have implemented just 3.1 of 10 recommended AI governance controls on average - even as non-human identities now outnumber humans in 83% of environments.
