Google introduced Gemini 3.6 Flash alongside 3.5 Flash-Lite and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber. The cybersecurity model is designed to help trusted organizations identify, validate, and patch software vulnerabilities faster.

Google is reportedly developing an AI server chip codenamed “Frozen v2” to hardwire parts of its Gemini model for inference, aiming for higher efficiency and lower power use. The chip is targeted for deployment in 2028 and is intended to help Google Cloud relieve capacity constraints by reducing reliance on general-purpose compute and freeing TPU capacity for other tasks.
