Disney has appointed former Character.AI CEO Karandeep Anand as its first chief technology officer, reporting to CEO Josh D'Amaro. The more meaningful ethical question is when its use becomes unjust and how the costs and benefits of automation are distributed across designers, businesses, customers, and society.
