Bitwise Solana ETF hits $1B AUM (2 minute read)
The Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) crossed $1B AUM 10 months after launch, more than half of all Solana ETF assets, despite trading ~40% below its listing price as SOL sits 60% off its all-time high. Cumulative spot Solana ETF volume has topped $13B since September 2025 with $1.7B in net inflows and no real outflow stretch. This comes alongside growing institutional access as Charles Schwab plans to add spot Solana trading, and Goldman Sachs is currently the largest known holder of spot Solana ETFs (~$90M).
Fogo halts mainnet after $3M token compromise (2 minute read)
The Fogo Foundation disclosed that an attacker received 400 million FOGO tokens (~$3M, about 10% of the circulating supply) in a compromise, initially saying the chain itself was unaffected. About 15 hours later, the network halted entirely so validators could upgrade and restrict the affected addresses, with no restart time given. Bitget and KuCoin both suspended FOGO deposits/withdrawals around the same time. Fogo launched in January off a $7M Binance token sale at a $350M valuation and had claimed 100% mainnet uptime until this halt.
Bybit launches 24/7 stock perpetual options (2 minute read)
Starting September 17, Bybit users can trade round-the-clock options on SpaceX (SPCX) and Nvidia (NVDA) perpetuals, with fractional lots, USDT settlement, and portfolio margin support for spreads, straddles, and covered calls. Tesla, QQQ, SOXL, and Micron are planned next. Positioned as the next step after Ondo's tokenized-stock-as-collateral perps, amid a broader industry push (Coinbase, Kraken, and Robinhood) toward 24/7 equity trading, tokenized-equity perp volume grew from $85B in January to $470B in June, with SpaceX the most-traded name.
Autolaunch: A Launch Rail for Agent-Owned, x402 Economies (6 minute read)
Regents Labs built Autolaunch on Base, a fixed and non-upgradeable system that bootstraps agent-owned tokens through Continuous Clearing Auctions (CCAs) where bids are denominated in REGENT, then deploys a Uniswap v4 pool at the auction's final clearing price with the LP NFT sent to a dead address, making the initial position permanent. Each launch mints 100 billion tokens split as 10% through the CCA, 5% to initial liquidity, and 85% to a one-year vesting treasury. USDC revenue passing through the canonical payment address is routed as 2% to REGENT stakers off the top, 10% of the remaining 98% to AGENT-N stakers, and the balance to the treasury. A 2% Uniswap v4 hook fee on all swaps is split half to the agent treasury and half to REGENT stakers. Agents accept roughly 10.8% of future USDC revenue as the cost for a capital infusion within two days, with supply, fees, and revenue routes all immutable after deployment. First autolaunches were expected within a week of the announcement on August 27.
Social Trading and The Garden of Eden (8 minute read)
Social trading apps Fomo and Pump have reached 60K-100K daily active users, matching Polymarket, Hyperliquid, and Phantom, while accounting for roughly one-third of all builder code volume on Hyperliquid. Pump has distributed over $450M to deployers, already 15% of Meta's 2025 creator payout total, with memecoin traders absorbing 2-3% per swap, 20-30x the cost of spot exchange fees. The central challenge for these platforms is crossing the speculative onboarding funnel into broader social finance use cases like tokenized stocks and stablecoin savings, a transition complicated by brand names that signal risk-seeking rather than wealth stewardship. Regardless of which app leads, their aggregate volume flows to underlying infrastructure on Hyperliquid and Solana, making that layer the structural winner of the social trading race.
Pantera Blockchain Letter: The Battle for 80 Billion Agent Customers (6 minute read)
Projections indicate that 8 billion people each operating about 10 AI agents will produce 80 billion economic participants within a decade, a shift that will influence $30 trillion in purchases by 2030. The structural risk is AI sovereignty: platform-owned agents can preference suppliers that pay the platform, hide competing products, and extract a toll on every facilitated transaction, misaligning agent owners with the platforms controlling agent behavior. Blockchains address this by providing a persistent, neutral, programmable property rights layer no single platform controls, with digital wallets serving agents the way browsers served humans, providing identity, working capital, spending approvals, and delegated authority with narrow scopes. Coinbase's x402 protocol, which enables sub-$0.01 stablecoin payments for API calls, is one of the payment primitives that allows agents to transact at machine speed without human intermediation.
PURR Jumps 15% as Hyperliquid Strategies Updates Treasury (2 minute read)
Hyperliquid Strategies disclosed a $1.9 billion HYPE treasury (29.3 million tokens) after deploying $773 million to acquire 16.5 million additional tokens at an average cost of $46.77, sending PURR shares up 18% to $13.59 and pushing market cap to $1.8 billion. The company holds $149.9 million in cash with zero debt and $709.9 million in unrealized gains on staked HYPE positions, completing what CEO David Schamis called a "fortress balance sheet." PURR's mNAV climbed to 1.35x, its highest since May, supported by HYPE's 77% gain during Q2 and over 50% rise in the prior month. Schamis framed the firm as a long-term accumulation vehicle for a protocol he described as "winning the parts of onchain finance that generate real fees," a positioning that mirrors MicroStrategy's Bitcoin treasury model applied to a DeFi-native asset.
x402 Processes 169M Payments in Year One as AWS, Cloudflare, and Google Integrate (4 minute read)
x402, which revives the dormant HTTP 402 status code as a stablecoin payment rail for AI agents, processed 169 million payments across around 590,000 buyers and 100,000 sellers in its first year. AWS added native support to CloudFront, Cloudflare is running its own facilitator and a Monetization Gateway, and Google embedded x402 into the stablecoin layer of its Agent Payments Protocol, all without Coinbase involvement. Coinbase transferred governance to the x402 Foundation under the Linux Foundation, positioning the standard as neutral infrastructure rather than a proprietary Coinbase product. The core economic argument is that AI agents, which may spin up, transact, and terminate within seconds, cannot operate through bank accounts or card networks built for human transaction timescales, making HTTP-native stablecoin payments a structural requirement rather than a preference.
