Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HPC Lead Engineer to oversee the design, development, and implementation of our High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure. As the HPC Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the successful delivery of HPC solutions to meet our organization's computational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers involved in the design, development, and optimization of HPC systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand HPC requirements and translate them into technical specifications and project plans.
• Design and architect scalable and efficient HPC solutions, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Drive the evaluation, selection, and integration of cutting-edge technologies and components for HPC systems.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of HPC hardware and software components.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
• Conduct performance analysis, benchmarking, and optimization of HPC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HPC systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and security.
• Stay abreast of advancements in HPC technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing HPC systems.
• Strong knowledge of HPC architectures, parallel processing, and performance optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Fortran.
• Experience with cluster management software and job schedulers (e.g., Slurm, PBS, or LSF).
• Familiarity with storage systems, network interconnects, and high-speed I/O technologies used in HPC environments.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• An in-depth working knowledge of Large Language Models(LLMs) and or Generative AI technologies
