Who we need: 

Due to growth, we have opened a new role and are searching for a Director of Product to join our crew. As Director of Product, you will act as a true product thinker, excited about learning the intricacies of a complex product and partnering with the team and with our users to improve upon it continually. In this role, you will captain a team that manages a B2B product. We are searching for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeve and dive deep into the details while developing an overall strategy focused on innovation and inspiring the team. You will be instrumental in compiling Brightwell’s product vision, strategy, and roadmap. 

**This is a REMOTE position, based in the U.S. Some travel will be required.**

What you’ll do: 

  • Provide guidance to a fast-growth product company while acting as a hands-on product strategist. 

  • Drive product vision and execution, enabling rapid iteration in an Agile environment. 

  • Define and own the product vision and maintain the product roadmap in conjunction with the Chief Product Officer. 

  • Ability to interact with users to understand their pain points and turn those into actionable user stories and product plans. 

  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify ways to expand our relationship with our product users 

  • Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing; utilize both qualitative customer insights, and quantitative customer data to inform decisions. 

  • Maintain a customer-centric product focus, always keeping our users’ needs at the forefront of the decision-making process. 

  • Utilizing Design Thinking, partner with designers to solve complex user experience issues on a global scale. 

  • Align with engineering to understand technical implementation complexities and challenges of complex mobile applications. 

  • Work across the business, engineering, and product orgs to execute your roadmap at lightning speed. 

  • Stay abreast of industry insights on technology trends, digital product innovation, and mobile solutions. 

  • Challenge the team to think about broad-ranging possibilities, not just follow the path of least resistance. 

  • Take on additional tasks and projects, as assigned. 

 

As Director of Product, you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, product marketing or general management. 

  • 3+ years of experience leading a product team. 

  • Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems, pull data, and extract insights that led to tangible business results. 

  • Strong analytical background with web analytics tools and A/B testing. 

  • High technical aptitude with the ability to understand system architecture and meaningfully contribute to building a robust tech stack (ability to understand the tech stack conceptually, its strengths, and limitations). 

  • A strong point of view on best practices for product development, with an open mindset to suggestions and change. 

  • A high level of comfort working with data and analysis and a proven ability to leverage analytics and quantitative methods to inform and influence decision-making. 

  • The capacity to switch seamlessly between strategy and execution. 

  • A real draw to helping people and an elevated level of empathy with our end users 

  • The ability to easily engage in both business-focused and technically-focused conversations. 

  • The ability to cut through the noise and laser focus on what really matters, diving into details, unfazed by technological complexity. 

 

We’ll give you extra credit for: 

  • Experience with enterprise software or products  

  • Agency or startup experience 

  • Experience with FinTech 

  • Experience in the payment space
