FTX Adds a New Feature to Send Crypto via Email and Phone Number (2 minute read)

FTX users can now send cryptocurrencies or dollars to anyone with just an email or phone number. Recipients who don't have crypto wallets will have to sign up to FTX and verify their identity to claim their funds. Funds will be returned to the sender if the receiver doesn't pass the compliance check or if the email or phone number details are incorrect.

Nikolai Mushegian, an early developer of MakerDAO, was found dead on Friday in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The 29-year-old man was reportedly dragged by water currents close to the beach. His body was retrieved but there were no vital signs. The area is known for its dangerous currents. Mushegian's final tweet prompted speculation about his mental health and the circumstances of his death.

Kraken wants its own crypto social network (2 minute read)

Cryptowatch, a Kraken subsidiary, has launched Cryptowatch Social, a social media service targeted towards crypto users and enthusiasts. The company is building an all-in-one mobile app where users can watch markets, manage their portfolios, and learn from each other. Its app currently allows users to check prices, make trades on multiple exchanges, and analyze market trends. Cryptowatch Social features live idea feeds, chart sharing, and livestreams.
